Cristiano Ronaldo is serving a five-match ban while his team is struggling to score goals and have played 2 consecutive draws.
Following the draw with Levante, Real Madrid players have realized the importance of Ronald in the team. They have admitted that they needed Ronald, however, the Real Madrid talisman will not be able to play as he faced a five-match ban. He was shown a red car on the Supercup clash against the rival club Barcelona.
Real Madrid will visit Real Sociedad on September 17 but will miss Ronaldo as he still has a match in hand remaining.
The La Liga Champions have collected just five points from their first three matches as the played consecutive draw against Valencia and Levante.
After his debut match against Levante, Theo Hernandez said:
We tried hard throughout and our intensity was there as always but we just couldn’t make the most of our chances. Maybe we did lack a little spark but we gave everything. We do need Cristiano to score goals but we don’t necessarily need a No. 9. The squad will continue as it is.
The other new signing of Madrid, Marcos Llorente also admitted that the team lacked Ronaldo as they failed to convert several chances.
Real Madrid will rely most on Ronald the rest of the season and the clubs performance will be more dependent upon him as the clubs highest goalscorer has already netted 407 goals in 396 appearances.
