28 may, lamjung- A man was killed after being struck by lightning at Madhyanepal municipality-3 in the district on Monday evening. Local resident Sunil Sankhi, 18, died on the spot.
Some body parts of Sankhi were burnt down in lightning, said the police. The local people reported the incident to the police shortly after they recovered Sankhi dead in the farmland at 11 am the same night.
Sankhi’s family launched a search after he failed to return home the late night from the farmland where had gone to prepare a nursery bed for paddy seedlings around five kilometers away from the house.
Shortly after a team from Bhorletar Area Police Office reached the incident site. Body of Sankhi has been taken to Damauli Hospital for a postmortem. (RSS)
