Appropriation bill- reply session begins

21 june, kathmandu- The session for respective ministers replying concerns raised during the deliberations on the Appropriation Bill- 2076 BS has begun in the House of Representatives from today.

The Minister for Land, Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation; the Minister for Drinking Water; the Minister for Communications and Information Technology; the Minister for Youth and Sports and the Minister for Urban Development are giving replies to questions raised in regard with headings concerned.

Four days including today were set for the replies. For this, the Lower House has fixed the coming session from June 23 to 25.

The government on May 29 presented the details of its annual income and expenditures for the coming fiscal year in the joint session (National Assembly and HoR) of the Federal Parliament.

The House began discussions on the ministerial-wise budget headings and mentioned programmes from June 11. Prior to this, the parliament spent its three sessions from June 2-4 for general discussions on the estimates of government income and expenditure for the fiscal year (2076-77 BS) .

Finance Minister Dr Yuba Raj Khatiwada responded to question raised during the general discussions which was followed by the endorsement of the proposal tabled, seeking consideration on the Appropriation Bill. (RSS)
