Training to drivers and helpers of tourist bus

28 june, pokhara- Training was imparted to drivers and helpers of tourist buses in Pokhara. The training was organized by Tourism Transport Committee, Pokhara with promotional support from Nepal Tourism Board.

Keeping in mind that driver and helper are the first and last contacts of tourists, the training taught them about conducts with tourists, hospitality and most essential technical information.

At the training programme, Mani Lamichhane, Director, NTB, Pokhara, said the conducts of drivers and helpers are important for the tourists to make their opinions on visiting sites.

Terming the drivers and helpers as goodwill ambassador of tourism, he said their behave and dealing can influence tourists whether to extend or shorten their stay.

Chiranjibi Pokharel, Chairperson, Pokhara Tourism Council, said the drivers and helpers are the key messengers of tourism sector as their behaves are crucial to impress tourists.

Four trainers delivered the training participated in by 156 drivers and helpers of tourist buses, informed Nawaraj Adhikari, general secretary of Tourism Transport Committee, Pokhara.

According to him, NTB manager Surya Thapaliya had imparted training on hospitality, Assistant Inspector Lokraj Bhandari on traffic rules, in-charge of Sipradi Trading Pokhara Sanjaya Bista on technical matters and Dr Mukesh Mallik on health sensitivities in high altitudes. (RSS)
