28 june, pokhara- Three journalists were feted with three different awards instituted and operated by Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ) Kaski Chapter.
Journalist Shyam Nath Kunwar was felicitated with Pokhara Journalism Award-2075 BS. He receives a cash prize of Rs 35,001 with shawl and letter of appreciation. Likewise, journalist Tribhuvan Poudel was honoured with Gajendra Bhandari Creative National Journalism Award-2075. The award bags a cash prize of Rs 25,001.
Similarly, journalist Geeta Rana was feted with Jagannath Sigdel Youth Encouragement Award-2075. The award carries a purse of Rs 11,111 along with shawl and letter of appreciation.
Gandaki State Chief Baburam Kunwar handed the awards to the journalists amidst a programme held at meeting hall of FNJ Kaski Chapter on Thursday.
Speaking on the occasion, FNJ central member Ram Krishna Gyawali said there would be not option for journalists to adopt other alternative occupation if the government did not withdraw the Media Council Bill.
